Fantasy Racein League 2008 Rules
The cost will be $60.00, as there will be 36 point counting races. All teams and monies will have to be in by February 10, 2008. No team will be accepted without payment, no exceptions. It will be first come first serve. You can sign up and put your drivers in later, by the Daytona 500, February 17, 2008.
I will only accept 30 teams, this keeps the competition closer. I don't want to disappoint anyone, so don't wait to last minute to join.
All the teams drivers are listed on the Teams page, also you will be able to keep track of how many changes each team has left during the season.
You will choose 1 driver from each driver group, from the Drivers Page. Giving you a total of 6 drivers.
The rules are very simple, you will receive the same amount of points that your driver receives each race after Nascar has posted the official results, usually monday night after the race. This means that if the car is in the race but not the driver you have chosen, your total points for that race would be zero ( 0 ) unless he would start the race and do at least 1 lap. You are choosing drivers not cars. There are no exceptions for drivers loosing there ride, out with an injury, or as we experienced in the past with the death of a driver, it is still considered a change.
There will be a bonus of 10 points for the highest finishing team per point race, second highest finishing team receives 5 bonus points, and lastly third highest finishing team would receive 3 bonus points, if there is a tie, then all tied teams would receive the same bonus points.
If your driver wins the Nextel Cup Championship, you will receive a bonus 20 points to your total for the year. In driver group 6 there is our class of 2008 rookies, ( marked in yellow ) and if you choose a rookie and he wins the Rookie of the year honors, you will get an extra 10 points added to your total for the year.
As per the sign up page, you will be picking six drivers, one driver from each group. Everyone will be able to make 6 driver changes during the season. If you want or need to make more driver changes than 6, you will be able to make additional changes at a cost of 75 points per change, that would come off your total points for that race. All driver changes must be made from the original group that you chose your driver from. Driver changes must be made before the start of the race, any changes made after the start of the race will count for the next race. You will be able to make any driver changes you want before the start of the Daytona 500 ( Feb 17, 2008 ) and theses changes will not be charged against your 6 free changes. After that it will be back to business as usual. You will have to e-mail your changes in, race@fantasyracein.com or use the contact form on the contact page, you will get a respond e-mail of your change and how many you have left.
How Do You Win
The team with the most points at the end of the season ( 36 point events ) wins first place and so forth down the line. first to tenth place will win money, also the goodys headache award ( most poles ), and the half way winner. Along with the bonus track feature, to the highest finishing team. The race tracks will be:

This year you will have a chance to win an addational free change at 5 different tracks this season, to the highest finishing team for that race. If a tie then all ties will receive the free change. The race tracks will be:
